Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data we process, what for, for how long, and what you can ask us. It is written for the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: 11 September 2026.
Who processes your data
The data controller is Jonathan Joel Sotelo Felix, acting as an individual, based in Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
There is no company behind the service: an individual is responsible.
Contact email for any data matter: hola@tradingwith.io. We do not publish a postal address; email is the way to reach us.
There is no European Union representative under GDPR article 27 yet. One will be appointed before we actively market the service in the European Union, and this page will name them and give their address once there is one.
What data we process
Your email address, when you join the waiting list or when we set you up as a subscriber.
The technical credentials of your lane: the sign-up code, the token and the client certificates that let your app talk to your server.
Your trading data — signals, orders, positions and journal — which the app reads directly from the server that is yours. That data lives on your server; we do not copy it to any system of ours.
The purchase notice Apple sends us so we know your subscription is active. Apple does not give us your card details.
Technical service logs (date, path and result of a request) so we can spot failures and abuse.
We use no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking cookies on the website or in the app.
The app itself sends us no data: it talks to your server, and your device token and key live in the iPhone keychain. There is no account of ours inside the app, no analytics, and no crash reports coming to us.
What we use them for, and on what legal basis
To provide the service you subscribed to — signing you up, provisioning your server and keeping your lane running: performance of the contract, GDPR article 6.1.b.
To let you know when we open seats, if you joined the waiting list: your consent, article 6.1.a. You can withdraw it at any time.
To keep the service secure and detect abuse: legitimate interest, article 6.1.f.
To comply with accounting or legal obligations where they apply: article 6.1.c.
We do not take automated decisions with legal effects on you, and we do not profile you.
Who else sees them
DigitalOcean, which hosts the server we provision for you. It acts as a data processor.
Apple, which handles subscription billing. Apple processes your payment data as its own controller, under its own terms.
Resend, the provider through which the email with your sign-up code is sent.
When the app shows the market ticker it requests a public quote from query1.finance.yahoo.com, with nothing of yours in the request; and if you open the chart, TradingView opens with your own session, inside an isolated store on the device. Neither goes through us.
Nobody else. We do not sell or hand over personal data to third parties.
Where they are kept
The services behind the website and the sign-up run on a DigitalOcean server in the London region (United Kingdom). The United Kingdom has an adequacy decision from the European Commission, so the data is handled at the level of protection the GDPR requires.
Your own server is created in the region you choose when you sign up, and your trading data lives there, under your control.
The controller is in the United Arab Emirates, outside the European Economic Area. When we process data of people in the European Union we apply the safeguards in chapter V of the GDPR.
How long we keep them
The waiting-list email: until you ask us to delete it.
Your subscription data: while it is active, and afterwards for the period required by applicable law.
Your lane credentials: while your lane exists. When the server is decommissioned they are destroyed with it.
Your trading data: you control it, because it sits on your server. If you destroy the server, it is gone.
Technical service logs: they are kept for as long as your subscription lasts and until your server is decommissioned, which destroys it. We do not promise any fixed period other than that, because today nothing would enforce it.
How to delete your account and your data
From the app you can decommission your server. Doing so destroys the whole server with everything inside it: your broker credentials, your signals, your positions and your journal. That cannot be undone and we keep no copy.
To delete anything left on our side — your email on the list or in the sign-up, and the technical logs tied to it — write to hola@tradingwith.io from the address you gave us, asking for deletion. We do it and confirm it within the one-month period the GDPR sets.
Cancelling the subscription with Apple does not by itself delete your server or your data: they are two separate things and both are in your hands.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
You can withdraw your consent at any time; that does not affect processing carried out before.
Write to hola@tradingwith.io. We answer within the one-month period the GDPR sets.
If you believe we do not handle your request properly, you can complain to your country's supervisory authority. In Spain that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
Minors
The service is not aimed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we publish the new version at this same address, with its date. If a change affects you materially, we let you know by email.
